Low bust cut on the front (very 00s vibes) with pleasant coverage on the sides of the bust. Just the right shape for my broad shoulders. Some of my Bonds bralettes work perfectly underneath, although I probably wont wear a bra at all. This is quality linen fabric and has a nice drop skirt. I used to wear similar styles a decade and 2 decades ago, and I'm personally excited to see this bust line returning.
There are some additional folds at the sides that accentuate my already happening hips, so I may need to unpick and re-sew the side seams to create a more flattering shape. Perhaps the drop of the skirt would be perfect for women who are taller than me (164cm) and are leaner in the hips.
When looking under the hood, the sewing is not as clean and polished as my other Assembly Label garments, but the fabric and design itself makes the dress worth keeping. And on the outside, the thread isn't noticeable anyway.
I'm always excited receiving an Assembly Label package, as is my Postie, who remarks that Assembly Label is her favourite label (too) when she delivers the package to my door 🙂
