The denim is a nice mid weight to heavy denim in a medium to darker wash with no whiskering etc. It is well made, but based on the size chart, the 28 should have fit perfectly but was a bit on the snug side. Size up if you want the slouchy look like the model, and it may be a bit of a challenge to your predisposed ideas about how an article of clothing should fall on a body if you have a curvier body type, as in smaller waist, wider hips and/or belly. I’m about 160cm, about 65kg with a 97cm low hip and 73cm waist. I even sized up to 29 and 30 and didn’t really enjoy the look. Hopefully this helps other buyers and they have a more positive experience.
As a shorty stocky girly, jeans shopping is the bane of my existence. Jeans are ALWAYS too tight around my inner thigh area but too baggy around my waist. These jeans however are the greatest pair of pants I’ve ever worn. I have so much room around my inner thighs, it snatches in my waist without making me look like Christmas ham. I’m obsessed with them and am begging Assembly to come out with 100 more colours!!
Ended up switching these out for a smaller size because either the wash/ product run bigger. Otherwise great!

Love these jeans for something a bit different. The pleat is really flattering. I wasn’t sure if it would be considering I’m short but I love them. I found they run a little small so had to size up but that fits me perfectly.
