It was while holidaying in Bologna Italy that Designer Emily Van Loom and Chef Ben Shemesh first discussed opening a sandwich shop, “when you’re on holiday you’ve got time to enjoy the theatre of meats and cheeses being sliced before your eyes that goes straight on your sandwich - it just takes as long as it takes”, Ben muses, “the difference between a pre-made sandwich and the unforgettably fresh sandwiches we ate in Bologna was second to none.”
